REM 203 Professional Site Management of Affordable and Public Housing
This courses addresses knowledge and skills required to be an effective manager in government-assisted housing programs, including public housing. (3 credits)
REM 204 Introduction to Office Building Management
This course is designed to provide you the fundamental knowledge required to pursue a career in commercial office building management. (3 credits)
REM 206 Successful Site Management
This course is specifically designed for practitioners and those seeking careers in the site level multifamily apartment management. The curriculum is prepared by IREM and fulfills all educational requirements for the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®) professional designation. (3 credits)
REM 254 Fundamentals of Purchasing and Finance Residential Real Estate
This course will identify the process and necessary elements to purchase and finance residential real estate. Topics include: Getting Pre-approved, Budgeting for a Mortgage, Making the Offer to Purchase, and Understanding the Transaction Process. (3 credits)
REM 300 North Carolina Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course
This course is sanctioned by the NC Real Estate Commission and fulfills the educational requirements for the state real estate licensing exam. (5 credits) Prerequisite: REM 254.
BUS 455 Real Estate Seminar
This course provides the student with in-depth discussions with prominent real estate practitioners in the area on a variety of real estate topics. Course requires research and special examination of selected real estate topics. (3 Credits) Prerequisites: 201 and one the following: REM 202, 203, or 204.
REM 456 Real Estate Internship
This course provides training in real estate management with companies in the area and offers the student an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, a valuable addition to the college resume. (3 Credits)
