Student North Carolina Association of Educators (SNCAE)
Saint Augustine's Chapter
The Department of Education through the Mellon TEAM Project has re-established the Student North Carolina Association of Educators (SNCAE) Saint Augustine's College Chapter. This association provides an opportunity for the faculty mentors and student mentees to engage in professional development activities that will enhance the mentees' learning and professional development. The students will become familiar with the fundamentals of membership in a professional organization.
The purpose of the SNCAE is to help students make a smooth transition from the campus to the classroom - to give them the edge as a teacher in their first years. SNCAE is affiliated with the North Carolina Association of Educators and the National Education Association.
