Field Experiences at Saint Augustine's College
The Field Experiences Program is designed to provide pre-service teachers with firsthand experience in the classroom setting. As a pre-requisite to student teaching, field experiences enable students to better understand principles and practices as they apply to the world of education.
Field experiences consist of at least 60 hours of observation, assistance, participation, and micro-teaching under the direction of an experienced certified teacher. Practical experiences are applied to theoretical principles under the direction of the college course supervisor as students share and discuss their experiences during classes.
