The Dean reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Dean provides academic, intellectual and administrative leadership to the Division. Departments within the Division of Business include Business Administration and Computer Science. The Division offers four degree programs leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in: Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, and Computer Science. Each major provides a focus on professional development, technology application, and global work competency skills allowing for intellectual enrichment beyond the traditional undergraduate experience. The Dean is responsible for the enhancement and advancement of the Division and College Mission by providing leadership to: continually enhance the quality of teaching and advising; enrich community service and outreach activities; communicate and fund raise within the Business Community; coordinate expansion of new degrees/programs and/or collaborations with Business industries.
Earned doctorate in one of the disciplines of the division or extensive experience in the Business or Industry; three years of successful administrative experience at least at the departmental level related to organizations and/or educational programs in college settings, including personnel and financial management or 3 years Business Experience as a Manager or Director; Commitment to excellence in teaching, research and service; excellent communication skills; commitment to student achievement and faculty development; a record of intellectual contributions to discipline; evidence of effective community involvement and leadership.
