The Alpha Alpha chapter of Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society held an induction ceremony Friday, December 2 in the Historic University Chapel of Saint Augustine's University.

To become a member of Alpha Kappa Mu students must meet the following requirements:

Full-time students in good standing with the institution at which the chapter is located Completed at least half of graduation requirements Minimum GPA of 3.3 Ranked in upper 10% of their class Exemplifies good character Exhibits potential for leadership and service At the opening of the induction ceremony, 5 candles were lit to represent the pillars of the honor society. The pillars are: character, scholarship, citizenship, service and leadership. All qualities each inductee and member must demonstrate in and out of the academic setting.
