The Department of Film & Interactive Media at Saint Augustine’s University will host its 12th annual Teen Summer Film Workshops June 18-29 and July 9-20. These hands-on workshops are open to teenagers, ages 13-18 years, who have a strong interest in learning the craft of professional filmmaking.

These 10-day workshops meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every weekday. Experienced production professionals at Saint Augustine’s University will provide students with hands-on training in digital camera operation, screenwriting, shooting in our soundstage, camera angles, composition of shot, sound, casting, auditioning, acting for the camera, and more. By the end of each workshop, students will have completed a short video.

The fee is $325 for each 10-day workshop. The last day of each workshop will include a screening of the short videos produced by workshop participants, with a reception for parents, family and friends.

Each workshop is limited to 16 teenagers in order to offer one-on-one instruction and facilitate maximum participation.
