The Department of Education’s mission is to produce collaborative educational leaders who model best practices in their classroom, and who demonstrate efforts to effectively improve education for all learners.

About the Department

The Department of Education emphasizes the preparation of our students to be “Teachers as Change Agents.” In collaboration with the liberal arts sector of the School of Liberal Arts and Education and the university’s additional academic schools, the department seeks to equip our students with skill sets and knowledge that will allow them to adapt to the constant changes of the global environment as well as prepare and execute curricula that will challenge children under their instruction in the future.
