First Year Experience and Academic Advising Host a Majors Fair

Feb. 28, 2012

First Year Experience and the Academic Advising Center of Saint Augustine's University recently held a majors fair. The fair took place in the MLK ballroom and had various booths set up including: the Belk Professional Development Center, academic majors representation, Army ROTC and the registrar's office.

"We want freshmen and sophomores to become more familiar with the majors offered at the University, meet their professors and declare a major," stated Michael Swann, Assistant Director of First Year Experience.

The fair provided students the opportunity to research a major, select a major and register for classes in their chosen major.

"We had a list of almost 300 undeclared students but after this fair, that number will have greatly decreased," stated Swann.
