Fox's Rising Apprentice Scholarship Awarded to St. Aug Student

Fox News Channel (FNC) has selected Saint Augustine's University as one of two 2011-2012 nationwide partners for its Fox News Channel University /Ailes Rising Apprentice scholarship. Each scholarship recipient received a $10,000 scholarship and will begin a paid internship at Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network beginning in the summer of 2012 at either the network's New York or Washington, DC newsroom.
The Saint Augustine's University student selected was Sakeeda Freeman, a senior majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in broadcast journalism. "The opportunity to join a top news organization is a dream come true," Freeman said. "The Ailes program is a door-opening opportunity that will allow me to build on all I have learned from Saint Augustine's University.
