Each Student and Faculty Advisor should be familiar with the Academic Policies of Saint Augustine's University. Students and faculty advisors are encouraged to consult regularly with the Saint Augustine's University Catalog and with Department Chairs and Division Deans.
Grading System
The grading system is based upon semester hours. The faculty may award the following grades:

| Numeric Grade | 90 and above | 80 to 89 | 70 to 79 | 60 to 69 | Below 60 | N/A |
| Description | Excellent | Good | Fair | Passing but poor | Failing | Incomplete |
| Quality Points | Four | Three | Two | One | None | N/A |
Students must pass all courses in the major including supporting courses from other disciplines, with a grade of "C" or better. Thus, students who receive a grade of "D" or "F" in any course in the major or required in the major must repeat that course at Saint Augustine's University.
