The Office of Marketing and Communications promotes the mission, values and ideals of Saint Augustine's University through contact with external and internal audiences. Brand preservation and promotion is paramount to their day-to-day activities. The Office is responsible for planning, directing and implementing publications, marketing and promoting strategic plans to further the objectives and mission of the University as stated in the University's Strategic Plan and overall brand management.

Saint Augustine's University’s Office of Communications & Marketing serves as the strategic center for Saint Augustine’s University’s communications. Professionals in the fields of broadcast, photography, online communication, writing and editing, graphic design, and media and public relations are gathered within one office to serve the Saint Augustine’s University community—by making Saint Augustine’s University stand out from the crowd.

The Communications & Marketing team can consult with you about your goals for programs, initiatives, and policies. Using an array of tools, we can reach internal and external audiences in a way that will get their attention, even amid today’s “information overload.”

To meet your needs, our services can be pointed and narrowly defined, such as creating a single press release; or they can be broad, incorporating a website, brochure, and video presentation. Sometimes our office creates a simple but effective poster advertising an upcoming departmental lecture; other times, we coordinate the marketing for an entire campus-wide initiative. No matter how a challenge is defined, we look forward to collaborating with each other and with our client—you.

Creative Communications

Creative Communications can help you determine an effective way to reach your target audience with a refined message. We can help you create a web presence, produce a brochure, or share vital information in a staff manual—and so much more. We produce the college's admissions materials, numerous periodicals and publications, Saint Augustine’s University’s homepage and core website, and countless promotional pieces for campus events, programs, and initiatives.

Our efforts bring students to the college, support research and outreach efforts, and encourage academic and enrichment activities across the campus. Additionally, we are the stewards of the Saint Augustine’s University brand, and we have created a graphic and editorial standards guide to help everyone communicate Saint Augustine’s University’s image consistently.

Through Saint Augustine’s University’s branding initiative, we are helping to position Saint Augustine's University as a pivotal player not only in North Carolina, but nationally and beyond. We are building the college’s future.

When working with Creative Communications, you’ll begin by submitting our online Project Request Form. Our team will assess your project and consult with you to plan the best tools, tone, and approach. Our capabilities and services include:

Media & Internal Relations

Saint Augustine’s University’s Media & Internal Relations team can make “media hype” work for you. Whether you want to plan and publicize an event on campus or announce a research finding to the world, we have the resources to make it happen.

We also distribute news here on campus: The Falcon News, a monthly printed newsletter, a weekly electronic publication, Inside SAU and we also produce a weekly radio show, Falcons at 4 . We provide employees with relevant news about university happenings, fellow employees’ research and accomplishments, campus events of note and key human resources and benefits updates.
