Employee Parking
Employee Parking
- General Parking: A driver with an assigned space may not use an un assigned area if the space is available. Reserved Space and Reserved Area Parking.
- A reserved space or lot marked with a post or sign is Reserved 7 days a week, 24 hours a day unless otherwise posted or suspended by Campus Police. These spaces are for the sole use by the employee assigned to that space.
- Any faculty/staff member with a reserved parking space, upon finding the space occupied, may park in any non-reserved space provided in SAU parking decal is displayed and the SAU Campus Police Department is notified.
- Unauthorized vehicles parked in reserved space will be ticketed, towed or immobilized at the owner's expense.
- Motorcycle Parking: Motorcycles may be parked in designated areas with parking permit. Only Motorcyclist with a permit are allowed on the main campus. It shall be unlawful to operate a motorcycle on campus without the use of prescribed headgear for the protection of the operator and the passenger. Motorcycles may be parked only in areas designated.

- A visitor arriving before, during or after normal business hours may obtain a visitors parking permit from the Information Center located near the front entrance of campus off Oakwood Avenue.
- A visitor who has obtained a visitors permit, may park in any space, other than a posted reserved area. The visitors permit should be displayed on the front dashboard of the vehicle in a manner that it may be clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle.
- FACULTY, STAFF, AND STUDENTS, ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PARK AROUND THE QUADRANGLE. THESE AREAS ARE FOR VISITORS TO THE CAMPUS.
- Faculty Staff and Students are not allowed to receive visitor parking passes.

- Fifteen (15) Minute loading and Unloading of vehicles in front of academic, administrative and residence hall buildings, by leaving on the vehicle flashers. Following these procedures, the vehicle will be permitted to park without being in violation for that period of time. If the vehicle is timed longer than the allowable period of fifteen (15) minutes, a citation will be issued, or vehicle removed by towing if it is impending traffic.
- Contractors Permits: The Campus Police Department will issue parking permits to all contractors and their employees, authorizing them to park in specific areas.
- A driver may wait for a short time for passengers if he/she remains in the vehicle and does not block the flow of traffic, but must move immediately when directed to so by an officer. Waiting drivers may not stop in spaces indicated: No stopping/standing, Handicapped Parking, Fire Lane, Police or Emergency, Vehicle Only.
- In the event of illness, physical incapacity or extreme emergencies, a driver may pick-up or discharge passengers at any entrance to any building. Employees using these methods of transportation are responsible for directing drivers to the appropriate entrances.
