What is Research and Sponsored Programs?
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs assist faculty and staff with the preparation and submission of grant proposals to government agencies, corporations, and private foundations. After the proposal has been awarded, ORSP is the primary administrative liaison for grant management (managing project budgets and expenses and project reporting requirements). ORSP coordinates the financial and progress reports on all grants and enforces compliance of fiduciary responsibilities pertaining to grants by safeguarding proper guidelines of the funding agency, federal, state and local regulations, as well as institutional policies and procedures.
In addition to these services, OSRP serves the University's federal initiatives: Title III-B Strengthening Historically Black College and Universities, Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound and Academic Achievers. ORSP is responsible for the overall implementation of policies and procedures of the Title III and TRIO programs as well as these program's compliance with all federal and University regulations.
