Right of Way Class Site Visit

Nov. 8, 2011

alt Thursday, October 27, the inaugural class of the Right of Way Program had a chance to experience how their knowledge gained from the, "Introduction to Reading Plans" course material is applied outside the classroom. The instructor, Mr. Leroy Reynolds, said "the students retain the course information better when they are able to relate it to real life experiences."

The purpose of the project is to decrease traffic congestion and improve the flow of traffic on Jones Sausage Road. The project's general superintendent showed the class the plans currently being used for the project and how the plans are used to schedule his work to complete this project. The students were very engaged and knew how to read the plans. This trip is a significant milestone in the Right of Way program, and supports the Center for Real Estate Management and Development's motto of Knowledge, Experience, and Credentials.
