Saint Augustine’s College will officially open its Confucius Classroom at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. The Confucius Classroom at Saint Augustine’s College is the first of its kind at a Historically Black College or University. It is one of three Confucius Classrooms under North Carolina State University’s Confucius Institute. The others are at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford and Enloe High School in Raleigh. The collaboration between Saint Augustine’s College and N.C. State primarily provides an opportunity for students to learn Chinese language and culture.
The Confucius Classroom and courses offered through it will be open to all Saint Augustine’s College students.
