Saint Augustine’s University hosted the annual student leader institute Sunday, August 5 through Wednesday, August 8 in the Seby Jones Fine Arts building on the campus of SAU.
The student leaders learned various lessons, including: how to register to vote, event planning, conflict management, program planning, personal branding and professional development. The institute ended with remarks from president of the University, Dr. Dianne Boardley Suber.
“Effective leaders aren’t always popular decision makers, it’s not about popularity,” stated Suber. She went on to say, “You set the model, you are the model.”
