Nose tackle Marcus Kennedy (Georgetown, SC) of Saint Augustine's College was selected to the 2008 AFCA Division II Coaches All-America team, which was released Wednesday (Dec. 10) by the American Football Coaches Association.

Falcons Bury Archrival Shaw 78-57

RALEIGH, NC – Sophomore forward Hayward Fain (Akron, OH) and junior guard Brandon Hickson (Columbia, SC) led a balanced attack with 12 points each as Saint Augustine’s College rolled over crosstown rival Shaw 78-57 for their six straight win in the series on Tuesday (Dec. 2) at Spaulding Gymnasium.

Lady Falcons Stun 17th-Ranked Shaw 77-71

RALEIGH, NC - Led by 35 points and nine rebounds from freshman sensation Keyona Bryant (Springdale, Md.), Saint Augustine's College led mostly from start to finish in upsetting 17th-ranked Shaw University 77-71 on Tuesday (Dec. 2) in a thrilling CIAA women's basketball game inside packed and raucous Spaulding Gymnasium. In beating the Lady Bears, the Lady Falcons (2-4 overall, 1-2 CIAA) snapped a 12-game winning streak to their archrivals. The Lady Falcons' last victory in the series was during the 2000-01 season.

Bryant Named CIAA Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

Freshman Keyona Bryant (Springdale, Md.) of Saint Augustine’s College was selected CIAA women’s basketball rookie of the week on Monday (Dec. 1) after scoring 36 points and pulling down 10 rebounds against Fayetteville State University on Saturday (Nov. 29).
