For the second straight year, Saint Augustine’s College finished second at the 2006 CIAA Cross Country Championships held Thursday, October 19, 2006, at SAS Soccer Park.
Led by Erica Young (Long Island, NY) and Sharona Brown (Manchester, Jamaica), the Lady Falcons were league runner-ups with 54 points. North Carolina Central scored 17 points to claim its second straight CIAA crown. Young was fourth and Brown placed seventh individually for the Lady Falcons. Young’s fourth-place finish prevented N.C. Central from sweeping the first five individual places.
Other Falcons who placed in the top 20 include Marsha Rowe (Manchester, Jamaica) who was 12th, Deborah Scott (Winter Haven, FL) who was 15th and Nadia Chambers (Long Island, NY) who was 16th.
