The White team beat the Blue team 40-28 in the Saint Augustine's College intra-squad football game at Emery Field on Saturday, April 14, 2007.

Linebacker Steven Stanback (Temple Hills, MD) and defensive end Marcus Crump (Pittsboro, NC) each scored a touchdown for the White team, made up primarily of defensive players. Wide receiver Michael Gillespie (Statesville,NC) and running back Lester Graham (Fort Pierce, FL) both scored a touchdown for the Blue team, consisting of offensive players.

Head Coach Michael Costa was pleased with the game, but knows the Falcons have much to do before hosting Mars Hill in the season opener on Sept. 1, 2007.

"We still need work offensively, but the defense stepped up," Costa said. "Overall, we won't have to rely on so many freshmen this year."

In 2006, the Falcons finished second in the CIAA Western Division at 4-3, and they were 4-6 overall.
