The Saint Augustine’s College football team will hold its first intrasquad scrimmage of the 2007 season on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Emery Practice Field on campus. The scrimmage will start at 10 a.m., and it will be open to the public.

The Falcons are preseason co-favorites to win the CIAA’s Western Division. Key returnees are All-American senior defensive end Alex Hall (Glenarden, MD), junior defensive tackle Marcus Kennedy (Georgetown, SC) and sophomore wide receiver/specialist Richard Boone (Petersburg, VA). Kennedy and Boone are preseason All-CIAA players.

The Falcons host Mars Hill at Broughton High School in their first regular-season contest on Sept. 1, 2007. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
