Stuart ties for 11th on final day of PGA Minority national tournament

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Keathan Stuart of Saint Augustine’s College shot a three-day total 246 to tie for 11th place among Division II golfers at the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship over the weekend.
Stuart bounced back Sunday with an 80 after shooting an 88 Saturday and 78 Friday. Teammate Julius Wells finished the tournament with a 258, well enough for a 20th-place tie. Both players survived the heat and challenging course over three days to finish in the top 20 of the Division II individual standings.
The event, played on South Course at PGA Golf Club May 5-7, featured men and women golfers from Division I, Division II and NAIA. Thirty-five golfers from seven teams competed in the Division II portion of the tournament.
