Saint Augustine’s College wins four events at Tennessee Indoor Track and Field Meet |

Saint Augustine’s College was impressive at the Niswonger Foundation Invitational over the weekend, winning four events and placing second in five others at the indoor track and field meet held at East Tennessee State University. Johnsie Liles led the way by winning the women’s 400-meter dash in 55.55 seconds and helping the Falcons capture the women’s4x400 meter relay over Virginia in 3:44.31. The winning relay squad included Jessica Render, Kimberly Moore and Dana Robinson. Joe Kindred won the men’s high jump for the second straight week, leaping 2.14 meters (7-0.25 feet) for the victory. Unyime Akpan beat the field in the men’s 60-meter hurdles in 7.94 seconds. Second-place finishers for the Falcons included Render in the women’s 60-meter dash (7.58), Marquita Davis in the women’s 60-meter hurdles (8.63), Travon Lee in the men’s 400-meter dash (48.10), Fabian Hutchinson in the men’s long jump (24-9.75 feet) and the men’s 4x400 meter relay team (3:12.99) including Lurias Eugene, Jamaal Torrance, Sharif Nash and Lee. Dana Robinson was third in the women’s 800-meter run (2:21.04) and the men’s distance medley team including Omar Wiggan, Dwayne Greenidge, Issreal Jaimes and Edgar Bermudez placed third in 10:30. Bermudez was fourth in the unseeded men’s 1-mile run in 4:26.48.
