Once again, Saint Augustine’s College successfully competed against many top-flight programs at the Penn Relays held April 26-29. A record 114,191 spectators watched the 2006 track and field meet which included Division I schools.
The Falcons won four events including two by Joe Kindred at the prestigious 112 th annual outdoor meet held at Franklin Field. Kindred won the long jump (23-10) and high jump (6-11.75) in the college division.
The women’s 4x400 relay team including Erica Young, Dana Robinson, Kim Moore and Johnsie Liles finished first (3:37.33) in the college division. The men’s 4x400 relay team featuring Travon Lee, Lurias Eugene, Tim Riley and Jamaal Torrance was also victorious (3:07.86) in the college division.
The Falcons are the 2006 NCAA Division II men’s indoor national champions.
