Saint Augustine’s College won two events at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier track and field meet on Thursday, May 3, 2007.
Joe Kindred (Fuquay-Varina, NC) won the men’s long jump with a leap of 23-7.25, and Jamal Cumberbatch (Barbados) captured the men’s triple jump with a jump of 48-4.75.
Second-place finishers for the Falcons include Jasmine Bethel (Roanoke, VA/women’s triple jump), Camile Gray (Sacramento, CA/100 dash) and Jermaine Baker (Goldsboro, NC/110 hurdles). Bethel also finished third in the women’s long jump.
Phillippe DeRosier (Columbia, MD) was third and Kendall Stevens (Lima, OH) was fourth, respectively, in the 100 dash, and Marquita Davis (Manchester, Jamaica) was third in the 100 hurdles. Dior Lowry (Philadelphia, PA) was fourth in the 110 hurdles.
The Falcons excelled despite cold, wet and windy conditions.
