The 2006 volleyball season ended Friday, November, 3, 2006, for Saint Augustine’s College after a 3-0 loss to North Carolina Central University in a CIAA Tournament semifinal match. The Lady Falcons finished at 19-10 overall, their second straight winning season under second-year Head Coach Warren T. Davis.
The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Falcons 30-16, 34-32, 30-17 at Capel Arena on Fayetteville State University’s campus. The Lady Eagles defeated Virginia Union on Saturday, November 4, 2006, for their third consecutive CIAA Championship.
Falcons’ seniors outside hitters Aurea Griffith (St. Thomas, Barbados) and Vittorio McDuffie (Frankfort, Germany) were named to the 2006 CIAA All-Tournament team. |
