Winston-Salem State University toppled Saint Augustine’s College 3-1 in a non-conference volleyball match at Emery Gymnasium on Thursday, Sept. 13.

The victory was the first for the Lady Rams in ten matches while the Lady Falcons remained winless in seven matches. The Lady Rams won by a score of 20-30, 30-26, 30-26, 30-28.

Erica Cole led the Lady Rams with 18 kills, and Ashley Harris added nine kills and 16 digs. For the Lady Falcons, Brittany Watts (Severn, MD) collected nine kills and 10 digs, and Curby Rogers (St. Paul, MN) contributed eight kills.

The Lady Rams are former members of the CIAA. They are in their second season on the Division I level. The Lady Falcons are members of the CIAA.

The Lady Falcons will compete in the CIAA Round-Up this weekend in Fayetteville, NC. They will play five matches in two days, starting with Elizabeth City State University on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.
