Playing their second straight road game in two days, Saint Augustine’s College fought hard but showed fatigue in a 3-0 volleyball loss to Catawba College on Tuesday, September 12, 2006. Catawba won by scores of 30-28, 30-13, 30-24 to improve to 3-6 overall while the Falcons dropped to 4-2. The Falcons were coming off a four-game victory over CIAA opponent Fayetteville State on Monday, September 11, 2006.

Aurea Griffith (St. Thomas, Barbados) led the Falcons with 12 kills and Vittorio McDuffie (Frankfort, Germany) added nine kills. The Falcons will rest two days before competing in the CIAA Volleyball Roundup in Durham this weekend. The event will be held Friday, September 15, 2006 through Sunday, September 17, 2006 at North Carolina Central University.
