Saint Augustine’s College named interim head coach Margaret Richards as full-time head women’s basketball coach effective April 1. Richards was the interim head coach during the 2008-09 season when the Lady Falcons posted a 15-14 overall record and reached the CIAA Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2003.

CHARLOTTE, NC - Saint Augustine's College overcame tired legs and a season-high 37 turnovers in a 76-69 upset win over No. 2 seed Fayetteville State on Wednesday (Feb. 25) in the CIAA women's basketball quarterfinals at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Saint Augustine’s College plays Elizabeth City State University Tuesday (Feb. 24) at 7 p.m. in the first round of the women’s bracket, and meets Bowie State University Thursday (Feb. 26) at 1 p.m. in the men’s quarterfinal pairings of the CIAA Basketball Tournament, which starts Tuesday and runs through Saturday at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C.

RALEIGH, NC – All-CIAA sophomore forward Allison Sikes (Richmond, Va.) led five double-figure scorers with 17 points and Saint Augustine’s College erupted in the second half to top Claflin University 70-50 Thursday (Feb. 19) in its final regular-season women’s basketball game.

FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Sophomore forward Brittany Parker (Waterbury, CT) led four double-figure scorers with 15 points for Saint Augustine's College, but Fayetteville State went on a 22-8 run in the last seven minutes for an 84-65 CIAA Western Division victory Sunday (Feb. 8) at Capel Arena.

RICHMOND, Va. - Sophomore guard LaKiesha White (Richmond, Va.) and freshman center Keyona Bryant (Springdale, Md.) both scored 17 points and Saint Augustine's College shot 60 percent from the floor for a 79-60 CIAA women's basketball victory over Virginia Union University on Saturday (Jan. 31) at Barco-Stevens Hall.
