
Durham, NC – Fayetteville State completed the first day of the 2010 CIAA Women’s Bowling Championships on Saturday with a 5-0 record at the AMF University Lanes. The Lady Broncos hold a 39-pin (5,281-5,242) lead over Elizabeth City State; while Bowie State trails in third with 5,059 pins. Day one of the championships consisted of cross-divisional team play. The tournament will continue on Sunday morning at 9:25 a.m. with cross-divisional Baker matches. Afternoon play, which consists of double-elimination bracket Baker play, will start at 2:35 p.m.

Saint Augustine’s College opens the 2009-10 women’s bowling season on Friday (Nov. 13) when the Lady Falcons travel to Charlotte, N.C., for a CIAA Western Divisional Match. The event will be held at AMF University Lanes on North Tryon Street.
