Lady Falcons Advance To CIAA Bowling Quarterfinals

CHARLOTTE, NC – Saint Augustine’s College faces Virginia State University in the 2007 CIAA Bowling Championship quarterfinals after going 1-1 on the tournament’s second day on Monday, Nov. 12.

Saint Augustine’s College continues to improve in bowling from a year ago. The Lady Falcons placed second in the CIAA Western Divisional Tournament held at Livingstone College on Nov. 2-4.

Lady Falcons Bowl To Second-Place Finish

CHARLOTTE, NC – Saint Augustine’s College bowled its way to second place in the CIAA Western Divisional Bowling Tournament held Oct. 5-7 at AMF University Lanes.

The Lady Falcons scored 25 points to finish second behind Fayetteville State University, which won the tournament with 36 points. Shaw University was third with 23 points followed by Livingstone College with 12 points and Johnson C. Smith University with 1 point.

RALEIGH, NC – Saint Augustine’s College put on a good showing at the CIAA Western Division Tournament, finishing third out of five teams.

Lady Falcons Finish Third in CIAA Western Divisional Bowling Event

Saint Augustine’s College finished third out of five teams competing in the CIAA Western Divisional Bowling Event held October 27-29, 2006. The Lady Falcons scored 12 points to finish ahead of Livingstone (eight points) and Johnson C. Smith (seven points). Fayetteville State won the event with 29 points and North Carolina Central was second with 19 points.

Bailey of Saint Augustine’s College named CIAA Bowler of the Week

Antoinette Bailey of Saint Augustine’s College was named bowler of the week in the CIAA Western Division after her performance during a CIAA Divisional Event held Oct. 6-8, 2006 at AMF Durham Lanes. She was one of seven CIAA bowlers who received the honor.
