St. Aug Commissions ROTC Officer

On Friday, December 9, 2011, the Army ROTC Battalion of Saint Augustine's University held a commissioning ceremony in honor of 2nd Lt. Brian Joseph Yawn. Yawn recently completed his degree in Sociology and will graduate from the University in May 2012.
Yawn is a decorated soldier who served as a medic in Iraqi Freedom and earned a Purple Heart for his courageous service in Iraq.
"Today I have the opportunity to thank you [Yawn Family] for allowing us to expand the manhood of an already exceptional man." stated Dr. Dianne Boardley Suber, President of St. Aug. "We are very proud of his accomplishments."
