St. Aug's Division of Social Sciences Salute Du Bois

The Division of Social Sciences hosted their second annual W.E.B Du Bois colloquium on Thursday, November 3. Students performed various theatrical skits on Du Bois' childhood, career and racially charged social issues such as interracial dating.
Josh Robinson, sophomore in Sociology, presented a brief biography on the background of Du Bois. He summed up Du Bois' life by saying, "he achieved greatness."
Pictured: students used the recent Troy Davis case to show the importance of the NAACP in present day. W.E.B. DuBois was a founding father of the NAACP.
