Suber Honored at inaugural women's day luncheon

The Student Government Association (SGA) of Saint Augustine's University honored President Dianne Boardley Suber on Thursday, March 8 at their first annual Women's Day Luncheon. The keynote speaker for the event was Regina Brooks of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services-Division of Child Development and Early Education.
Brooks spoke on the importance of an individual education plan (IEP) in the educational setting but also stressed the importance of a personal IEP. IEP as in, inspire, empower and pursue. "Seek to inspire someone, you don't know the power you have," stated Brooks. "When you inspire someone, you automatically set them up for empowerment. Then, pursue your goals! You have it [capabilities and talent], so don't sit on it!"
The SGA honored President Suber for her hard work, her professional accomplishments and her ability to be a role model, leader, mentor and mother to many members of the Falcon family.
