The following describes the 2013 Saint Augustine's University Summer Programs:
The Saint Augustine’s University Kiddie Kollege will provide an academic experience that promotes interactive, engaging experiences to extend learning for children ages 5-9. The non-residential camp will provide fun activities that will expose the participants to all academic disciplines and develop leadership skills that will empower students for future academic success.
The program design includes morning instruction in the following disciplines: Hands on Science, Mathematics, Reading and Writing, Computer Literacy, Sign Language and Foreign Language (Spanish/Chinese/Japanese) while the afternoon includes theatre, arts and crafts, music instruction, and physical activities to include swimming, golf, basketball, tennis and dance instruction.
The Youth Theatre Academy will be infused into the Kiddie Kollege during the first three weeks of Kiddie Kollege. The Youth Theatre Academy will create a “a learning community” for young people that will foster the development of the whole person. We will engage and cultivate the creative and technical mind, strengthen the body, and nurture the spirit of the participants.

Students will receive hands-on training from experienced production professionals at Saint Augustine’s University in videography, screenwriting, shooting in our sound stage, camera angles, composition of shot, sound, casting, auditioning, acting for the camera, and more.
The “Summer of Sound” Band Camp is designed to build character, leadership skills and develop students to becoming better rounded musicians. While the Marching Band will be the major ensemble for the camp, the students explore the classical and jazz genres throughout the week. The camp also includes clinics for drum majors, flags, and dancers.
This camp is designed to prepare students for the material and testing style specific to standardized test, ACT/SAT. Students must sharpen their critical thinking, math conceptualization, and reading and vocabulary skills to perform well on these exams. This SAT Prep course will help students tackle the mandatory essay with confidence, and teach them strategies and shortcuts to overcome test anxiety, necessary to perform well.
