Students must complete the application and submit the $25 non-refundable application fee to secure an audition. All materials should be mailed in as soon as possible. Students will be notified of their acceptance when all supporting materials have been submitted.
Student Eligibility
No prior chamber music playing experience is necessary but an appropriate level of playing/studying music or/and your instrument experience is a must.
Young Chamber Music Festival Faculty
An Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Piano at the St. Augustine’s College, Ra leigh, NC, Ms. Kang has taught music theory and piano privately as well as music institutions including SIU- Carbondale, UNC-Greensboro, Greensboro Music Academy, Salem Academy and Steinway West Branch. As a highly dedicated collaborative pianist, she has performed in various musical style and genre, which includes musical theater, chamber music and opera productions in United States. Ms. Kang has also performed and served as a staff accompanist in the Centro Studi Italiani in Urbania, Italy and in the AIMS (American Institute of Musical Studies), Graz, Austria. Her previous teachers include George Kiorpes, Rosevelt Newson, Sam Rotman and Oxana Yablonskaya. She is the founder of the St. Augustine’s College Summer Music Festival. |

Equally comfortable performing the musical styles of Glazunov, Stockhausen, or Speed Metal, recent solo performances have taken him throughout the United States and around the globe. He is a solo saxophonist and founding member of the internationally acclaimed SWARMIUS trio. His recording credits include Nonesuch Records, Warner Bros., Aleppo, and live performances on WTTW-Chicago with the New Arts Jazz Quintet. Currently, Dr. Rewoldt is Professor of Saxophone at San Diego State University, an on-call saxophonist for the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and the La Jolla Music Society SummerFest. He holds MM and DMA degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the BM from the University of Toledo.
