Oyita Udiani, Saint Augustine’s University alumnus from the Mathematics Department, is being honored on the Mathematically Gifted and Black website for Black History Month. 

Udiani was born in Lagos, Nigeria and later immigrated to the United States when he was a teenager. After high school, he attended Saint Augustine’s University to obtain a bachelor’s in mathematics. After graduation, he went on to earn a master’s degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, and doctorate from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ.
