Research and Sponsored Programs

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) assists faculty and staff with the preparation and submission of grant proposals to government agencies, corporations, and private foundations. Once the proposal has been awarded, OSP becomes the primary administrative liaison for grants management (managing project budgets, expenses and project reporting requirements). OSP coordinates the all grants-related financial and progress reports and enforces compliance of fiduciary responsibilities pertaining to grants by safeguarding proper guidelines of the funding agency, federal, state and local regulations, in alignment with institutional policies and procedures. In addition to these services, OSP serves the University's federal initiatives: Title III-B Strengthening Historically Black College and Universities, Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound and Academic Achievers. OSP is responsible for the overall implementation and compliance of all federal and University regulatory policies and procedures related to Title III and TRIO funding.
