Baccalaureate and Honors Cord Ceremony

May 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

All graduating seniors (and their parents) are invited to the baccalaureate service on Thursday, May 9. It is a religious celebration that honors the entire graduating senior class. With prayers and blessings, the service provides spiritual reflection and ecumenical worship to support students as they prepare to leave Saint Augustine’s University.

This year, the University will have the privilege of welcoming the Right Reverend Anne Elliott Hodges-Copple as officiant for the baccalaureate service. Bishop Hodges-Copple was elected the first female bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina in January 2013.

Students graduating cum laude will receive their honor cords during the service.
