The Professional Gateway Studies is a point of access for adult learners and non-traditional students. Depending on the major, a student can graduate within 18-24 months if the student has completed an Associate Degree or received credit for prior learning. The flexible offerings allow students to learn according to their learning styles.  

Since 1997, SAU Students have had access to support services. Gateway Studies continues to assist adult learners and non-traditional students with opportunities to challenge their thinking and stretch their boundaries to secure next-level success. The students will also access an online continuing education platform for non-credit courses and certifications. In addition, all students can participate in academic and support services such as faculty advising, career coaching, testing, tutoring, and more. 

The Professional Gateway Studies is within the School of Graduate Studies and is designed for working adults and non-traditional and community college transfer students as an option to pursue a degree and experience personal/professional development. It offers flexible night and weekend courses. Degree programs include:

Student Stories

Mr. Ronald Lamonte Mitchell II

A 2019 Saint Augustine’s University graduate, has been named Head Football Coach at AHOP Christian Leadership Academy. Mr. Mitchell is a professional in management, marketing, and a consulting expert with a demonstrated history of working in collegiate sports, sales, and customer service. He is also skilled in Business Planning, Customer Service, Sales, Strategic Planning, and Forecasting. Mr. Michell is a strong consulting professional with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management, focusing on business administration, finance, management, and operations from Saint Augustine’s University. Mr. Mitchell is also a 2nd-year graduate student in the MPA Program at SAU.

Ms. Yvette Lanier

A 2019 graduate of Saint Augustine’s University, received her (MPA) Master of Health Administration Degree on May 7, 2022, from Queens University in Charlotte, NC. Ms. Lanier completed a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management.

Mr. Christopher J. Withers

A 2002 graduate of SAU, will receive his Ph.D. degree on June 10, 2022, from Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Withers will receive a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership and Technology. Mr. Withers’s undergraduate degree was in Organizational Management.
