Falcons will go pink in honor of breast cancer awareness

Falcons will go pink in honor of breast cancer awareness

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate in Pink and Denim Day on Friday, October 17. We would like to make a “human” ribbon around the falcon on the football field for a photo at noon and we need your support.

The University will also honor Mrs. Cassandra Ward, the late wife of Interim President Ward, who lost her courageous battle to breast cancer. Mrs. Ward was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and at 7:30 p.m., the campus chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will host a candlelight vigil in the MLK mall area in her honor. October 17 also marks Mrs. Ward’s birthday.
