Amber Holland, Class of 2003

I am Senior Training Specialist who partners with Executive Leadership to grow and develop both existing and new hire associates at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies. I possess over 15 years of knowledge in Medicaid Managed Care allowing me to be an advocate for all individuals experiencing health inequities. My experience and awareness of the Medicaid process has allowed me to focus on removing barriers to care for those in need and the chronically ill. While working with my present employer, a frontier leader in Medicaid Managed Care, I have gained a diverse view of the Medicaid process and procedures through both the individual in need of attainable healthcare and the medical professional whom provides these services all while striving to appreciate both vantage points, this allows me to manage the dynamic impacts of national healthcare cost and how these reforms to the Affordable Care Act will affect future requirements and formulating policies to better assist the those individuals experiencing health inequities. Beginning my tenure serving as frontline to members in highest need I began learning and understanding the policies and procedures of Medicaid and Managed Care, thus inspired to obtain my MBA in HealthCare Administration in 2016 from Eastern University of St. David’s Pennsylvania.

Traveling is a must in my life! I have been blessed to see many places thus far, including Bali Indonesia. Travel is such a constant in my life I have started my journey as a Travel Professional creating Exclusive Travel by Amber where “Travel is created Exclusively for You!” Opening the skies to my passion of travel to others allows me the opportunity to expose others to new diverse experiences.

I am very passionate about giving back to my community. I can be found weekends volunteering at my local food and clothing donation sites or working hand in hand at community events with my sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
