Mr. Irving McPhail was one of the most loving, kind, intelligent, wise, thoughtful, and selfless human beings I have ever known. He was always the smartest person in the room and he loved the arts. He pushed his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews to excel academically and professionally. He loved us and we loved, admired, and respected him tremendously. We were all honored to just be in his presence. When he entered the room you knew who was in charge. He was a responsible and transformative leader. We pray that we can come to terms with this loss in time. We loved you Uncle Irving! Sending my condolences to all of the family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Irving McPhail.
