Johneise Fennell, Class of 1997

Johneise Fennell is a Program Manager with over 21 years of experience in financial services industry with the last 15 years focused on project management.

Johneise is currently consulting as a Program Manager at Bank of America where she is responsible for implementing program structure with a focus on compliance policy with the Global Banking and Markets Technology Group.

Johneise has held previous roles to include Program Manager on a grant with the Department of Labor to assist people who were laid off from manufacturing plants in getting trained to compete in the current workforce. Johneise has spent most of her career at SunTrust Bank where she has held various positions to include her last role as SVP, Business Project Manager for Retail Banking for the Central Carolina Region.  She was responsible for validating ideas through data analysis, business case creation, and/or process improvement steps, creating and managing processes for measuring and reporting progress towards results for Retail Line of Business consisting of 130 branches and 850 employees with a total of $5 billion in assets.

Johneise is very active in the community. She has volunteered with the United Way since 1997 and has served on various committees to include the MLK Day of Service and the African American Leadership Initiative where she served in leadership roles to include chairperson and co-chairperson.  She also volunteers monthly at the Central North Carolina Food Bank

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Pre-law from St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC and a Masters of Business Administration with a minor in Project Management from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fl. She also holds the following certifications: Lean Six Sigma, Six Sigma Green Belt and ITIL Foundations.

In her free time, Johneise enjoys traveling and filming with her family on their You Tube channel, Country Style.
