SAU Alumna Cynthia “Mother” Pratt Will Serve as Bahamas Governor General
Bahamas Prime Minister announced SAU class of 1983 alumna Cynthia “Mother” Pratt will serve as the Bahamas’ next governor-general. Her position will be effective September 1.
Mother Pratt’s leadership and contributions to nursing, education, politics, sports, and religion are well known throughout the Bahamas. She was the first woman to serve as deputy prime minister and the first woman to serve as minister of national security.
