SAU finishes second at CIAA Divisional II Bowling event

Saint Augustine’s University placed second at the CIAA Northern-Southern Divisional II Women’s Bowling Event, which was held January 23, through January 25, 2015, at Bowl America Midlothian.

The Lady Falcons posted an 8-4 record and recorded 11,700 total pins to finish behind Southern Division winner Fayetteville State University. Shaw University was third followed by Johnson C. Smith University in fourth place and Livingstone College in fifth place. In the overall standings, the Lady Falcons are second in the Southern Division with a 14-7 division record.

Nicole Sciortino (Sr./Raleigh, NC) of the Lady Falcons received a plaque for rolling the highest game among Southern Division bowlers. She bowled a 230 score against Fayetteville State in a team match. Sciortino led the Lady Falcons with a 167.2 average in 10 team matches. Imani Robinson (So./Burlington, NJ) rolled a 156.5 average and Hunter Cannon (Jr./Rocky Mount, NC) bowled a 155 average. T’Keya McKay (So./Groton, CT) registered a 153.9 average.

The Lady Falcons were 5-3 in team matches and 3-1 in Baker matches.

Next on the Lady Falcons’ schedule is the CIAA Round-Up in Bowie, Md., on February 13 through February 15.
