SAU Accounting Majors Exceeding Expectations

As one of the top four accounting firms, Deloitte provides audit, consulting, and tax services worldwide. In 2020, Deloitte launched an HBCU initiative to find ten undergraduate accounting majors with demonstrated leadership, problem-solving skills, and strong academics to be selected as Deloitte Tax Scholars. Each scholar will receive a tax internship and a full-time offer with Deloitte Tax. Also, each scholar will be awarded up to $20,000 to cover tuition costs for an accredited Master of Accounting (MAC) program leading to the CPA credential.
Among all the exemplary HBCU applicants, two of the ten scholars selected nationwide are our very own: Tanae Newry and Kerri Brodie! Tanae will start her internship at Deloitte’s Atlanta office. Kerri will begin interning in Deloitte’s Raleigh location. Both of these scholars are on track to be honor graduates in SAU’s class of 2021. They have already begun evaluating graduate programs that have successful CPA Exam pass rates.
Please join the School of Business, Management, and Technology in congratulating Tanae and Kerri!
